Extreme Surf Panama

Pedasi, Venao Beach Pacific Coast Tour

This tour will takes you to the best breaks around the Pedasi and Venao area.

Playa Venao is a sand bottom beach break located 30 minutes past Pedasi. This spot catches just about any swell, hands down always surfable.  It is best surfed at medium to high tide. Swells run over 8 to 10 feet.

Lagart Point is a beach bottom break that breaks at all tides with some rocks on each end, but gets good rights and lefts and can be very impressive when it´s big. Definitely a tube riders dream.

Playa El Toro it is a rock bottom point break with lefts and rights, and it gets really good when there is a good swell. It is best surfed at medium tide.

DESTILADEROS  has a right point over rock bottom, a left point over rock bottom, and a beach break with a pebble bottom. It is best at medium tide.

Ciruelo is a rock bottom point break located 20 minutes past Pedasi, right before Venado. It is rarely surfed, but can get really good left tubes when there is a good swell and no wind.

Playa Madrono is a sand bottom beach break located about 5 minutes past the entrance to Venado. The surf can get really good, with hollow tubes at low tide, but be sure to go early in the morning before the wind starts.

Playa Raya is named after the big manta rays and sting rays that are found there. During low tide, you´ll see miles of secluded beach, with a right point break on the left side of the sand bar, and a left point break on the left side of the sand bar. The waves can get huge, up to 15 or 20 feet on big swells, with big tubes. The wild life is incredible here you might run into big sea turtles and the occasional shark.

Carribean Pacific Coast of Panama Tour

This tour Takes you to San Carlos and Isla Grande to surf the surrounding breaks.

These breaks are all in the area of San Carlos Beach.

San Carlos Point - has a fairly exposed reef and point break. Very consistent surf.  The best wind direction would be from the North West.  Distant groundswell with optimum swell angle coming from the south southwest. This spot is rarely crowded.

Palmer- Very exposed beach and point break that yields a quite reliable surf. Groundswells are more common than wind swells. Optimum swell angle comes from the south southwest.  The break offers both left and right hand waves. Prime around high tide. Rarely crowded.

Hawaiisito- Exposed point break that has very consistent surf. Offshore winds blow from the northwest. Clean groundswells. Best swell direction is from the south southeast. Best at mid tide. Never too crowded.

Esmerelda - Exposed reef break. Offshore winds blow from the northwest, with clean groundswells. Both left and right hand reef breaks. Not likely crowded.

Tetas- Exposed point and reef break that yields very consistent surf. Best wind direction is from the northwest. Groundswells are more frequent. Best swell angle is from the south southwest. Mainly a left hand reef break with good surf all stages of the tide.

Rocky Point- Exposed reef break with quite reliable surf.Offshore winds are from the northwest. Clean groundswells in the direction south southwest. Mainly a right breaking reef and best surfed around mid-tide. Never really crowded.

The surf at Isla Grande has a 3 peak break. One in the middle and the other two on the sides. All three are point breaks close to one another that are constantly connecting sections. The reef at Isla Grande is pretty friendly, filled with softness from vegetation but naturally, you'll find the occasionally sea urchin. You will also be taken to 2 other surf spots via boat, Tortuga Island and Playon Island.

Santa Catalina Pacific Coast Tour
This tour takes you around Santa Catalina's best breaks

Santa Catalina is the best surfing spot in Panama, with one of the most consistent breaks in Central or South America. There’s something to ride here every month of the year.

The best time for really big waves is February to August, when wave faces get as high as 6–9 meters. At other times the average is 2–3 meters. There are several other breaks, some within walking distance, some requiring a boat ride to reach, that have breaks that can get even bigger.  Most of the surfing is for advanced surfers but there are some intermediate areas nearby. Spots include Punta Roca, Punta Brava, The Point and surrounding island breaks.

Caribbean Coast Bocas Del Toro Tour
This Tour takes you to Bocas Del Toro and its surrounding Islands.

The Islands of Bocas del Toro, in North West Panama, are some of the last secluded and tropical Caribbean Islands, still virgin and unspoiled by human development. Bocas del Toro combines nature, indigenous culture and surf. Other activities include great scuba diving, snorkeling, in some of the world’s most pristine waters.

Dumpers-  A reef bottom left break on the main island with a very steep drop, big tube, and short ride. We suggest you surf with booties here.  This area also has a break called  "Inner Dumpers", which is also a left over reef bottom, which has longer, faster rides but smaller tubes.

Punch- A reef bottom left and right break on the main island with good tubes and fun sections to hit the lip and do crazy airs. We also suggest you surf with reef booties here for safety reasons.

Playa Bluff- (Bluff Beach) is a beach break on the main island located at the end of the road.  This beach is a long stretch of virgin white/yellow sand beach with big, powerful beach break surf. It is well known for breaking lots of surfboards. The tubes here are incredible, however it breaks real close to the shore.

Carenero. It is one of the best surf breaks at Bocas, and has 200 yard long, peeling lefts, with great tubes. It breaks over shallow reef, and we compare it to the break called "Restaurants" in Tahiti. Durring head-high plus days this wave will offer the best barrels in the region.

Good to surf at all tides with very little fluctuation. Waves have a wide range from 2-15 feet.

Bastimentos Island, a 20 minute boat ride. Silverbacks a reef bottom wave located just off the island. These waves can get up to 25 feet faces on good swells, and some people have seen it even bigger than that. It is a large, powerful right with a big drop and big tube.  Bring your 7'0" or bigger if you want to surf here, because it compares to Hawaii or any other big wave spot. Only experienced surfers.
